Collaborating and Creating for The ABQ People’s Climate March

Seen below (April 4 update) is Evelyn Rosenberg, Albuquerque sculptor, creating a giant Mother Earth Puppet for the upcoming Climate Mobilization. Several 350 New Mexico members collaborated with her by sharing ideas, buying materials, building the arms and hands, and sewing the clothing.

Update #2 April 15

Mother Earth visited the seamstress for her fitting prior to the Climate Mobilization.  Paula Donahue, in the photo, has done a lovely job of conceptualizing and designing a wonderful dress for the upcoming Climate Mobilization on 4/29.  Dave Breault is also seen adjusting her arm to check for full mobility during the Mobilization.  She will likely be carrying a globe  between her hands and bright yellow sash. The working message for the sash will be “Keep it in the Ground,” but we are open to suggestions.

Our First Ribbon Project

What do you love and hope to never lose to Climate Chaos?

“Special Thanks to the ribbon group and the tablers!  We got many pages of signatures, over a hundred signed ribbons, several new volunteers  including a teacher who took ribbons for her class of 3-5th graders, and some ideas for improvements. Next outing is the Sustainability fair on Thursday.”
